"Frozen Fun" (January - February)

BRRRRRRRR! Bert and Jo realize that keeping warm and trying to walk in snow shoes can be a real challenge in a place where everything is frozen. Children will meet an array of Arctic animal puppets and learn some of the "Inuit" Eskimo customs and native greetings from Bert, who has actually spent time above the Arctic Circle!

Children will learn songs and take part in some of the same activities that keep "Inuit" children warm and healthy during the bitter-cold winters.

"Down by the River" (March - May)

Bert and Jo hop in their canoe and explore the amazing sights and sounds of an imaginary river adventure. The audience will learn some brand new songs about the river and sing some traditional tunes while Bert strums his tiny "Backpacker" guitar. There are sure to be some magical surprises along the way as Jo tells a funny folk tale or two!

Water safety and respect for wildlife are taught by some puppets who work and play "... by the river".

"Healthy Habits" (June - August)

Summer is a great time to learn about developing habits that promote good health!  Bert and Jo meet "Mr. Mouth" puppet who loves to eat healthy snacks.  He gives some suggestions for snacks that taste great and are fun to eat.  He shows off his "pearly whites" and introduces his best friends ("Flossy" the dental floss and "Brushy" the toothbrush).

Jo shares why we need plenty of rest in the new song, "Why Do I Have to Take a Nap?"  Bert and "Rubber Ducky" teach us some fun ways to get clean at bath time. Let's learn some "Healthy Habits" together!

Along the way, the audience will sing, dance and learn some unusual customs of the Swahili tribes of the African jungle.

"Christmas Dreams" (November - December)

Bert and Jo share some of their own childhood dreams in this magical adventure of lights, action, music and sweet surprises!  When Bert finds his night cap, he drifts off to sleep and floats with his magic blanket to an imaginary place that "...dreams are made of."

The children will join us in a few traditional holiday songs and enjoy learning some new Christmas fingerplays and action songs woven throughout the program.

We present a different program each quarter, plus a special Christmas program each December!
